Travel Plans

A friend / ex colleague of mine is getting married this year; I initially thought the wedding won’t be until the second half of the year but he told me that it was moved to the second week of March!

Luckily, I was still able to find a cheap flight; so, I’d be able to attend his wedding! Hmm. And just like that, my schedule for Q12016 has now become jampacked!

Let’s see:

This weekend, I’m going out on food adventures with two sets of friends.

Next weekend, it’ll be the birthday of a friend’s son. The week after that would be my birthday, I’m going home. And then a Christening (again, I’m a godfather) on the 24th, then buffet dinner in a posh hotel to close the month.

Valentine’s we’d be beaching somewhere up North, and then March – wedding in Iloilo (located in the Visayas)!!! I definitely started this year right, lol!

Banapple

After the tedious search for that flight, and helping a friend book hers as well; we felt v.hungry. We were supposed to have lunch at BGC, but circumstances (it was 2pm already) left us with no choice but to dine somewhere near the office.

Banapple is always the best option if we want something not really fastfood-ish but a bit decently cooked; and it’s just a few meters away from the office. The only problem we have with Banapple is the space.

The place is so small that it’s always almost impossible to get a seat if you’re having lunch between 11:30am till 2pm. It gets extremely busy during lunch time, thus, affecting their service. Imagine being told that you have to wait 30-45 minutes before your food is served (not to mention you are already spending a few good minutes waiting for your turn to be seated)! That’s why, it’s never advisable to have lunch here lol.

They make up for the bad service with their amazingly delicious food (or I guess I was really hungry). This one’s a favorite: Bacon Fried Chicken Steaks with Milk’shroom gravy (crisp chicken fillet smothered in a creamy milk and mushroom gravy, topped with bacon pieces and served with corn relish)

They also serve pasta, soups, salads and desserts

Note : We went here at 2pm so there’s no more queue. The place is still packed though, you need to be quick in getting a table coz they no longer give out numbers to customers who are waiting to be seated. šŸ˜†
