Cebu Day 5 :(

Last day of my Vacaycay 😭😭

I feel that I haven’t seen everything yet. This is a huge province, and where I’ve been to are just a few of what could be seen in Cebu. There are a lot: they have swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob, Canyoneering in the South, more beaches in Moalboal, Badian, Mactan, Bantayan etc., island hopping in Camotes, swimming and snorkeling, the skywalk in Crowne… And of course, eating at soooooooo mannnnyyy restaurants in Cebu city.

I swear, there are restaurants everywhere! It seems like Cebuanos don’t get tired of eating. Oh. I could live here too.

Look! These are the famous #Siomai sa Tisa. I actually had them last night when I fetched Revie from work. They were really nice, and very cheap (priced P7 a piece). They also have Japanese siomai (which I personally found to be better tasting) and other grilled delights – mostly street food you can also see in Manila.

After that, we headed back to the Shake place (was finally able to take a photo).

Last Stop for this Cebu tour is the Temple of Lea. It’s located high up in Brgy. Busay in Cebu City.

Owned by the Adarna’s of Cebu (same family as sexy actress Ellen Adarna), this one is said to be the Temple of Undying Love, made for the family’s matriarch (see photo).

Entrance to the place is P50/adult, free for children under 12 yrs old and senior citizens. You can also do a professional photo shoot (wedding prenups, etc,) for P2,500.

You’ll be welcomed by this view

Thankfully, I did not have to go alone as Revie and Wendell were free to join me on this trip!!!

Methinks that it’s better to go here during the late afternoon, you might be able to catch the sunset’s dramatic hues (not sure tho, check the net for best times).

We were there at around 12, with the mighty sun giving us it’s extreme heat. Ugh.

After the Temple of Leah tour, we went to Rico’s Lechon – one of the popular lechon places here in Cebu. In case you haven’t heard, Cebu lechon is one of the best products of this province. Some people even have it delivered to Manila for P8000!!!

I tell you this, I’m not a big lechon fan but this one really rocks. The skin is unbelievably crispy and tasty!

And chopsuey.

We also bought two dessert items and they were great as well!!!’

So much for being a #Dayrefattie #FoodPorn #foodie

And I’m back.
My flight was supposed to be 8:05 but since I’m traffic paranoid, I left my friend’s house ar 4pm. I was told that Cebu traffic could sometimes be unforgiving like Metro Manila’s so I thought I’d rather be prepared.

Fortunately, the cab driver knew quick routes so I was in the airport before 5pm. I loitered for a while, and when I got bored asked the counter if I can check in earlier.

Lucky for me, they are rearranging flights because there are delayed ones from Manila. From 8pm, I was moved to 5:45!!!

I actually booked the 8pm flight thinking that I could be facing Manila’s horrible traffic if I chose an earlier one. Good thing there’s no traffic Armageddon today haha.

I’m almost home, concluding my 5 day vacaycay in Cebu.
